Train is one of important transport that used in land transportation almost all of the world. So does Indonesia used train as main transport. Construction of railway in Indonesia begin since colonial. The colonizing countries in Indonesia were Netherland and Japan. Netherland have built the railway for first time, and then followed by Japan. From fives biggest island in Indonesia, just two island that have train, that is Java Island and Sumatra Island.
The rest is still processing construction railway in Kalimantan Island, Sulawesi Island, and Papua Island. Hope it is completed soon, so people have benefit with train transportation in their region.

The service of train in Java and Sumatra consists of various that is executive train, business train, economy train, local train and KRL (Kereta Rel Listrik/Electric Train). The service of train in Indonesia is excellent since changes in a large amount of management when Ignatius Jonan became CEO of PT KAI (Perseroan Terbatas Kereta Api Indonesia/ The Indonesian Government-Owned Railway Company) in 2009 to 2014.

Travelling with train in Indonesia is recommended, but in short distance with KRL we must keep away from office hours. It makes the train full, and there are no empty seat. And we have to stand all of trip, because there are so many passengers.

Different with long distances train, all passenger will seat on the train. All sales ticket for long distances train can through online with electronic, email, transfer money (ATM) or buy ticket in certain supermarket. Three months before the date of departure, the ticket are able to ordered. Just the passenger who have ticket can enter the train station. Special for long distances train, after we paid for the ticket, there is no ticket, just booking code we will received. This code will be exchanged with boarding pass which can printed 12 hours before the departure. With boarding pass and ID card, the passengers can enter to the train.

I have experience with train since I was a kid. My family often go to other city with train to visiting family. We choose train, because when I was kid, I have car sick when travelling long distance with bus or car. I have deep memorize with train. I like to see train and travelling by train. One of them is about the music, when the train will leaves the stations, there is one special music will be played. I always hear the music since first time I ride by train. Until now, the music are same as the first I heard. This music only for the long distance train. I don’t who is composed this music.
